you know, this looks quite different from a lot of other flower shots :P I guess the reason why is because of the composition and the high contrast. looking at it now, it kinda appears to have an abstract like quality to it - I like that. first thing that attracted me to this was the colours though. the colours in this are gorgeous and indeed very vivid. nice contrast between the red and yellow. and yes, they do look like little flames of nature!
